Anybody been out there lately? How are they running?
Also, where's the best place to buy nets in or around Baton Rouge? I know Academy has nets, but I'm not crazy about their quality.

Following..
Last time I was there, 2019, you had to go further than I cared to walk to get an area the right depth and without brush level enough to use set nets.

I was about to say, I imagine the river level is too high to fish it right now, but you can always set along the levee if you wanted to.

I am going drop some nets tomorrow on our farm. What is the best bait to use if I can't find any melt?

Does anyone crawfish on the pearl? If so where? I would love to do it with my boy. Yall running pillow traps or just circle nets?

Pearl is high. When it comes down it can get good. You can do nets, pillow traps, deep water nets, etc. Some try along I-10. There’s spots along 59 as well. Look at google earth

South Farm is part of the Sherburne WildLife Management area, located about 30 minutes west of Baton Rouge. It is about 3 miles north of the Ramah, LA exit on I-10.
