The center console arms race is crazy. I remember when a 36 Yellowfin was considered huge.

Badass boat. Lots of contender haters but there is a reason they hold their value so well.

Another boat to keep an eye on is the 41ft Onslow

They really need to stop this trend of boats with 5+ outboards. For a boat that big just go with inboard diesels and be done with it

I had to look at it a few times and count it again.

Whats top manageable speed for something like that with outboards vs diesels?

Fact. That 42 Freeman is incredible.

A boat that size could easily accommodate a pair of C9's spun up to about 580 hp. Probably would be a bit slower than that 5x monstrosity but it would be infinitely more fuel efficient and reliable.

At what point does the outboard to inboard fuel/weight efficiency go out the window?

How are 6 outboard more efficient that 2 diesels?

That point was passed long ago. Problem is just up front cost which has been passed with 5 outboards @ 30ish thousand each. A diesel drivetrain is probably about $100k a side brand new for jets.

my uncle has a worldcat that came with Suzuki's. he has so many issues with the motors and ended up sueing them and getting a settlement. I dont remember why, i was young. But he ended up putting in 2 diesels with IB/OB lower units. think was smooth!

Too bad Katrina took that away.

they ended up finding it a few miles away up in some trees.

That boat is really nice looking. Bow up front, motors in the back... just like it is supposed to have.
