Me and few buddies were thinking about finding a guide this year in South La.
I remember 5 or so years ago they had an outfitter in Kaplan that would post on LA sportsman. They tore them up over a rag spread every weeekend.
Can you guys recommend someone, or point me in right direction? Also what to expect in prices? Have duck hunted my entire life, but never used a guide service.
Was looking more toward SWLA area.
Thanks in advance.

That's Goose Guides Inc

Be warned, they kill a lot of specs. Nobody does great down here during conservation though. Specs are relatively easy to decoy to a big spread if you can call.

During season

Conservation hunting isn't great down here because hardly anyone is moving birds around at that point. And the big flocks have found their safe areas. Even the spec hunting slows down after duck season.

I thought you were saying they will shoot them during conservation season.

After looking at prices I am considering booking a hunt for the regular season.
They have some combo group duck/goose deals up in Arkansas.
I am just weary of spending the money and it being a bust. I had a buddy do a two day hunt last year, and they maybe shot 5 ducks between both days.
I don't know where to start. They have a ton of outfitters listed online, and I'm sure they're also a few that I should stay away from.
