I bought a 50 round box of Speer Gold Dot JHP a week or so ago for $40. I could not find any in stock at local stores.

I finally was able to shoot my Shield today while at my brother's place. He has a steep bank at the edge of his yard. I was shooting some reloads that I had from a friend that he made back in the early 90's. This pistol has quite a bit of kick. I had my left hand to high and got a blood blister on my thumb. My first two shots were about 2" low (at 20'). After my brother showed me how to hold it better the third and fourth shot was in the bullseye.
I am very satisfied it with. I did not buy it for constant range shooting, but for protection. My brother said the loads I was shooting seemed to have a big punch, so they could have been reloaded hot. These are all I have with me except for my hollow points which I don't want to shoot for target practice.
The magazines are a PITA to load. I am looking at getting a magazine loader for it.
