This is the only rule with some lead way. No one us going to let a trophy buck walk in the first day if season if they haven't killed a doe, but this forces/strongly encourages people to kill doe early

I still disagree with it but understand why yall are making the rule.
Some rules that we do not follow at my camp but are popular at others:
All guns must remain unloaded till in the stand.
Guns must remain in truck/closet.
Funny and silly alcohol rules.

Be willing to adjust as you go
We had a rule that I liked but was never enforced and that was that any work to stands, brush clearing, etc needed to be done before Oct 1st unless agreed upon unanimously by all members.

No pissing or smoking more than 20 yards from camp.
Bottle piss and copenhagen spit when out on the stand.

You gonna make em use the same bottle to spit in as they piss in too?

Nothing better than the smell of piss when you walk out of the camp door.

quote:Not joking one bit. I was going to bow hunt out of a stand that I'd previously had good luck out of. Another dude on the lease (who wasn't man enough to swallow his Copenhagen) had spit all over the damn place a day or so before. Hell, even I could smell it...think of a sensitive deer nose. fricked up my bow hunting.
I hope you're joking.

No fires at night, that creates smoke that the deer can smell for miles. Brush your teeth, they can smell that too. No toothpaste though. You sure as hell better not fart in my woods either.
PS, have killed deer with over a can of dip spit on the ground. Additionally, have watched deer smell cigs that were put out on stumps around the stand.

I've shot deer with a cig hangin out my mouth. I've seen deer with my willy out pissin off the stand.

Didnt see your reply before I posted my last post. I dont think that stuff bothers them much at all. Killed deer while they were investigating what my dip spit was. shite, might be an attractant.

I think the only thing that really bothers them is if you leave a pile of shite nearby.
