Yeah, this one doesn't have a box either and is probably about the 95% too (maybe a little less).

The 1911 comment was just a jab at KR.

Look them up. You will be hard pressed to find one less than $1,500. Wish I had bought a boat load back in the day, those are beautiful guns. My favorite revolver.

Just buy it. I use to shoot a Python when I did lot of pistol shooting and its the one David Soul outshot Clint Eastwood with in the movie Magnum Force.

I qualified at the LASP range with a Colt Diamondback which was the .38 Special version. Took Pistol Marksmanship as a PE elective at LSU way back when.

That is the holy grail of wheel guns, slick. Very nice. From what I've seen the past 2-3 years you're looking at about 1500, give or take.

As far as paying her, unless she's in a bad spot, that may not be the best idea. She knows shes giving you something of value and she knows you appreciate it. Paying may be perceived as an insult. I can tell you got your mind right and know that guns not yours, but rather your family's. You are just the keeper, brother.

Blued. It's my dad's but I'm hoping he passes it down. He told me it is from the last year they made the 8 1/2.

Yep depending on condition and local market and all that, I've heard stories of pristine 4" going for over 2,000 so you should be in that ballpark for a quality 6"
