I have a Govt model 1911 that have had for probably 15 years or more. Honestly haven't shot it all that much over time. I took it to the range this past Saturday and put about 75 rounds through it. However, towards the end of the day, it started ejecting shells back into my face/head. Any ideas on how to correct this? I was shooting Wincher 230 grain rounds. Thanks for ya'lls help!

It could just need a break in. I say put a couple 100 rounds through her, see how she does. Or could of been ammo.

I say she was getting a little hot and bothered!

Is it possible that your hands/arms were getting a little tired at the end of the session (causing "limp-wristing") ?

This is a fairly common cause of "casings to the head."
