How exactly do they get access to a freezer in your home or even your camp. I don't see GJ getting a warrant from a judge because someone has too much fish in the freezer.

I can't find that in the federal waterfowl regulations but I'd be happy if someone could find something definitive

at camp - legal question
I think at some point it becomes food and the strict possession limits and such don't apply anymore.

that is what federal agents have told me many times about waterfowl.

Since when is it legal for any LEO (Federal or State) to search my home without a warrant?

Correct. He can write you a speeding ticket or DWI in your truck too. There's one guy who is famous in my parts for writing them to folks in trucks.

states you can't have any filleted fish on the boat when you come in.

Got busted for it at the Venice Marina about 18 years ago. Staying at a friend's camp on the Camp Canal. We weren't over the limit, but we had all fish confiscated and got citations. Hired an attorney who happened to be the daughter of the Parish President at the time.

No fines and nothing on the record. It did suck losing about 300 filets of trout, redfish and bass.
