Wife surprised me with an LOD front bumper and Smittybilt winch for the new Jeep - any other nice surprises this morning?
Kids racked up as usual, they are 16 (Down syndrome) and 10, I still think I get more excited than they do LOL....

I got a bowl chuck for my lathe. Went outside last light to test it out.
Guess I didn’t have it tight enough. Wood came loose and hit me right above my lip. Left a 1” gap that probably needed stitches.
I’ll look great for pictures this week.

My boy got a fly reel. So I get to spend my day on YouTube figuring out how to rig this thing. It's beautiful though.

All i wanted was a 35 wheelen CVA Scout camo stainless steel barrel with a muzzle break equipped with a leopold vx-6 4x18 40mm with a vault gun case... dammit.. oh well these socks are cool. Hahaha

Backing 1st. Same knot (jam knot I think it’s called) to attach it to the reel that you’d use on a spinning or casting reel.
Backing to fly line you need an Albright knot. Look up the direction on the internet. It really isn’t hard.
Line to leader should be a nail knot.

My buddy opened the AR I built him and text me saying it was the nicest gift anyone ever got for him. Made my Christmas.
I had talked him into getting a 20 ga for his son (they didn’t own a gun when we met) but he didn’t know I was getting him an AR. When his son opened it his wife pulled the ralphie “what’s that one over there?” On my buddy

My dad just got a new to him bay boat a few weeks back so I got him a few waterproof plano trays and they’re filled to the brim with all the tackle he could ever want. He was pumped.
Also got him a Shimano NaSci reel because he liked the other one I got him for father’s day so much.
