Need a small chest freezer that will be in the utility room outside. Thinking 5 cubic feet. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

I like a chest freezer because you can cram one full.....but everything is a pain to find.

I now have an upright outside......won't hold as much, but easier to find stuff.

Sorry, I know that wasn't any help......

You just missed the Black Friday/Christmas pricing. I’m not sure name brand really matters on a chest freezer, not much to them.

I have a sears kenmore chest that is 17 or 18 years old.
The problem with a chest is that everyone uses it as counter space. Mine is in the garage and when my wife unloads the kids, they pile their shite on top of it. Also, as mentiined, it is a pain to keep organized.

Lowes sells a small one that isn't much over $100. Perfect size

bought a GE 10cu from lowes a few years ago. Holding up well so far. Granted, its kept inside. Non-conditioned environments are hard on them. As said I have the 10ft but I could use a 15. Seems like most everyone says the'd have gotten a bigger one if given the do-over.

Freezers are like gun safes... Buy bigger than you need. I've got two deer to debone and get processed, and my freezer is slam full.

I priced chest freezers back in the summer. Best buy had the best prices. A 10 cf was $219. 5cf $129.

I got the cheap one from HD. Works just fine.

ETA:
Magic Chef 6.9 cf chest freezer from HD. Right now they are $199. I wanted an upright but I’d didn’t work out in the space available.

For sure holds 3 processed deer, a bunch of quail and pheasant plus some normal household foods. Gotta move stuff around a bit but Not a big pain.

Been going 2 years in a garage in Texas.

I also have the Home Depot one. I believe it’s Magic chef brand. No complaints
