Anyone have one? Just saw a camo semi automatic 12 gauge for 350 dollars. Had to buy it for that price, seems decent so far.

Are they worth a shite or will it be one to use a year or two and toss it? Been looking for durable cheap shotguns I can abuse without feeling bad since the Remington 870s went to complete shite

you can find plenty of old ones online. Mine is about 20 years old and i still use it as a paddle every now and again.

"won" one at a DU banquet years and years ago. I liked the feel of the gun but it was the biggest POS I have ever had. Always broken. The firing pin kept messing up

Was my first shotgun, got it at Walmart when I was 13.

Well that’s disappointing. Oh well if I get 2 years out of it for 350 bucks it’s worth it. I just mainly use the cheap ones for shooting cormorants and egrets on the fish farm I’ll run thousands of shells through it per year so I don’t like buying nicer guns cause nothing can really hold up to the abuse. I’ll trash 2-3 of them then take parts off all 3 and make 1 working gun

Like this one with the non matching stocks

Look into the Maverick 88. Made by Mossberg, it's a pump, but you can beat the crap out of it and it will still function. I see them for sale online normally around the $250 range.

I "won" one last night at our DU banquet as well. It's an O/U 20 gauge. Model 202. It does feel good when shouldered. Hate to here it is a POS. Is that the gun you won as well?

Bought one, auto loader, about 20 years or so I guess - had to send it back once under warranty for repair. It really is a piece of crap. OP keep looking for another alternative.

Charles Daly is not a manufacturer of guns. They buy them from other companies (usually in other countries like Turkey) and rebrand them as Charles Daly. They’ve done this since the 60’s. Once upon a time they bought Miroku over and under shotguns that weren’t being marketed here and rebadged those for sale here. Those were close copies of what is sold as Browning Citori’s. I have one of those. Not many people know what they are. I don’t know if any parts interchange but it looks exactly like a Citori. Doesn’t have the barrel selector or shell ejector but shoots great. Bought it again gun show for $350 (yes, how ironic).

MOST of what you see in CD guns made since the 90’s is lower end stuff. It’ll go bang tho

I bought my wife the 20 auto in black synthetic 15 years ago for a WI pheasant hunt. I have used it for some duck hunts I’ve the years and for the last 3 years it’s been my dads go to duck gun as it is lighter and easier on him now that he is 80. Had first issue with it last year only because it needed a little cleaning after a rainy day hunt. I like the gun a lot.

I bought the 12 Gauge Auto in 2007. Used it for about 10 years on ducks, doves & rabbits with no problems as long as you keep it clean. My only complaint is it kicks like a mule for a gas gun.

Don't have a CD gun but I have a CD scope that has stayed sighted in for years.

I love my semi-auto 20 gauge. Light and no kick. Never cleaned it as a kid for many years, then it started to fail to eject shells. Switched to a pump 12 ga for this reason.

Gave it a good cleaning and it's as good as new.

I use to have one. The gun jammed constantly. Would not recommend.
