Spypoint micro LTE-solar.
Just got one earlier this year and get an average of 70 pics a day to my phone in near real-time. It’s honestly the biggest advance in my hunting gear since On-X maps. I don’t know why anyone would stick with traditional cameras if you can get cell signal to these little cameras.

I have never had a cellular camera. How do you pay for the the photos?
Posted on 9/12/20 at 6:39 pm to Sull
I can’t speak for all, but spypoint give you a month free unlimited (to get you hooked) then it’s either free limited to 100 photos a month, or plans that go up to $10 a month to stay unlimited. No contract turn it on or off in the app. So basically I’ll just have it unlimited during the run up to hunting season and then switch to free during the off season. I hunt in Texas so I get lots of pictures and my kids love seeing them everyday. If you hunt somewhere with lower densities then the free plan might be fine.
ETA: I forgot to say, they photos are not HD initially. They are good quality, but you can get the full HD version by requesting it in the app and they send it to you a short time later. It’s $5 for a package of 50 HD photos.

After 3 years of fooling with cell cams I have learned the following:
You get what you pay for cheaper isn’t better.
SPYPOINT: work great when they work. Photos aren’t as clear as others but cheap entry price and fairly cheap data plans. Negatives are they don’t work long I currently have 8 that don’t work (returner each more than once) and SPYPOINT is VERY difficult to cancel the auto pay on their devices I will never use one again.
SPARTAN: IMO best photo quality, very good customer service available in ATT and Verizon work very well. Data is reasonable. High price point but worth it IMO. Customer service is very good but overwhelmed at times and as a result sometimes slow response time. I have had 4 out for two years all work well still one I had to send back for a moisture issue they sent me a new one a week later.
COVERT: very good cameras take good pictures are reliable and data is reasonable. I don’t personally have any but several guys at my club do and they work well I would definitely buy these if an option but not cheap either.
Cuddle back: great reputation not sure on how their cuddelink system works but perhaps no colors can provide some insight on that as I k is he is testing it.

Spartan - with ap & Verizon $8 / min - unlimited- can request HD & 8sec video on individual pics.
Great service . Group purchased 20+ cameras total in 3 different lots . In 1&1/2 years 2 fogged - sent new ones in a week . My brother bought Spypoint had problems, poor service , sent them back. His Spartans are working good .
We have added 6 v rechargeable batteries with a cable that plugs in & a small plastic ammo box - lasting months. Initially the 12 Li++ batteries were killing us ($). 100-200 pics a day @ feeders .
Had pigs (6-8) hrs 500 pics- they dead !

I have Reconyx Hyperfire 2 cellular, had it about 2 months and very happy with it.Pricey at $600 but has 5 year warranty and made in USA.I have several Reconyx cameras and they stand behind their products.I had to send 1 back under warranty and 1 past warranty and repair was very reasonable.
The cellular plan is $5.00 for first 200 pictures and then $5.00 for 2000 pictures.

I bought one used on eBay and it wouldn’t work. Couldn’t update the firmware. After 3-4 emails troubleshooting, they sent me a new one.

I asked this question here a few months ago and went with Covert. 2 of the 3 I got are at Covert being worked on right now.

After my 2nd one stopped working and 3 or 4 (months) later they sent me a new one. I’m glad they took care of you but I had to go on their Facebook page and call them out to get my problem Solved. They have plenty of unhappy customers calling them out on fb btw.

I have been testing and reporting feedback to the new WiseEye Smart Cameras. The high end game cams are really made well and have comparable features. But what WiseEye has that’s a real difference maker is Huntcontrol.
I’ve been testing them since November. Outstanding app. If you baws want a demo of it I can make that happen.

One more thing:
To use Huntcontrol you don’t need a WiseEye cam. You can use any cam. However the WiseEye cam comes out of the box intergrated w huntcontrol.
And I’ve tested SPYPOINT and WiseEye on the same fence post together.
SPYPOINT is terrible IMO.
