So does everybody now that the craze is over.

It's just the price that's still nuts.

there are still people who are going stand in line outside of Academy. I wish someone would give them the message that the craze is over.

the shortage has lessened but the shortage is not over. Finding certain calibers like .223/5.56, .40SW, 9mm, and .22lr is still not easy. Many police departments across the country can't even find enough ammo to train/qualify. Some departments have gone to using airsoft rifles for training purposes because of the lack of ammunition.

If there weren't supply shortages they wouldn't be limiting you to the purchase of 5 boxes (or 3 at Academy). 100 rounds of .223 (5 boxes worth) doesn't take too long to go through at the range.

Definitely on the way down. Went by a local gun shop A few days ago and again yesterday. It's been empty for months but now has Ruger, S&W and Glock handguns.

I wish they'd have built that cabelas up here in Shreveport instead of down there. You coonass' are going to ruin it.

Went to the gun show here this past weekend and there was plenty of ammo at reasonable prices. But there were also the jackasses there with the ammo for triple the regular price.

Well they had it all. 9mm, 40, .223, 7.62x39, 17hmr, everything.

I went upstairs to eat lunch, came back down about 45 min later, 50% less ammo around, dozens of folks,

I came home to put up my ammo, gosh I really didn't need any 22 or 40.

But all is well.

I just wanted to inform my OB peeps.

Gander mountain ( not one in south la) never jacked prices up & has ammo every Friday I hate cabelas they threw me & my dog out of their omaha store because I brought my dog in to try on dog boots. I think it was because my dog dispatched a coyote in the field next door as children looked on. She did bring the coyote back to me this was the weekend after thanksgiving lots of Christmas shoppers around piss on them.

Cabela's also had a nice selection of ARs last weekend. I couldn't check all the prices but they had a Colt LE for $1400 and a Bushmaster for $900.
