Already own an AR, but thinking of adding another one.
Don’t have the time, skill, or fortitude to build my own, although it is intriguing.

Where’s the best place to buy a complete rifle, so what affordable?

Thanks

Buy an upper and a lower from PSA. Non-complete rifles don’t have whatever tax that applies to complete rifles. Someone help me out here

Smith & Wesson was my first, complete rifle for ˜$600.

Built and AR10 and .300BLKOUT pistol with Aero precision.

It’s not hard

I just bought a stripped lower and a kit with a full upper and followed a video for 30 minutes to build the lower. It is very easy and next time would take me half that time.

Any special tools needed? I have a lower and want to build a complete gun (bought one from Palmette State while looking for parts to go with the lower)

Do you really want to go cheap on something your life might depend on?

Not really. An armorers wrench and some punches make it easier but you can get by without them.

Just bought a S&W M&P 15 from midwayusa.com. They have preferred ffl vendors all over - meaning that after you order, they just mail it to the ffl vendor and you pick it up (still pay ffl fee), there's no coordinating needed. Insanely easy.

I’m no expert, but the SBA3 brace and Romeo5 cost more than the 300 blackout pistol they’re on. I trust it.

My picks right now would be

SOLGW or LMT in no particular order for a defense rifle, Larue UU if you want it more geared towards long range shooting. You have to slap the Larue UU together, but you can get it mostly assembled by them without an upcharge.

The S&W AR is pretty legit for a fully assembled platform AR.

Bought a Ruger 556 MPR from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore last month. They look to have some in stocks now. Shipping takes a while.

Thanks for all the replies..

Moving the goalpost...

Should I look at a different caliber/platform?
Having a different gun might be fun.
