What are the OB's thoughts on this scope? I'm looking at a rifle with one on it in 2.5-16x50, side focus, and a 30mm tube.

Scope should be fine.
I have that rifle. Heavy SOB. Great shooter. I hunt lanes in CRP and field edges. Perfect for that. I put a discount, refurbished Nikon Monarch 4-16x on it temporarily and have never taken it off.

Go for it. I wouldn't worry about weight in that .300 anyway. I think I'd rather have the weight.

Yup, good deal.
Only thing I would do is change those leupold mounts to some talley's, but thats just me.
Id definitely shoot before I changed anything though.
