Get a pulsar trail LRF and throw it on a gun you already have.

Dropped a 400 pounder at a 180 yards with a browning a-bolt 223 and Leopold scope. ear shot. Gun is a bit light for that service

got a 300 savage model 99 with Leopold hog scope that's about right

you won't get much of a thermal and gun for $4000. You need that for just the thermal for a reliable and clear product.

I have used a handful of the new thermals in the $3000-$10,000 range. Spend every cent on a good thermal if you will take this serious. This is my YT with the trail 2 videos. this is what $4300 thermal will give you Thermal hog killing

Night vision vs thermal isn't on the same playing field. NV cant do much more than feeder shooting at 100yds.

Any AR will do the job some better than others depending on what you want it to do.

I have 6.5 Grendel parts ordered for a new gun to get out to 200-300yds better than the pistol .300blk

Nice, but not a fan of the wild follow-ups.

Year round hog specialist here, not by choice. AGM global vision makes great thermals for the money and they come with a nice QD mount. If you go with high zoom, you'll need a monocular/helmet to scan. I like a self defense/close range model.

Currently use an axis II 16" bolt and a 9" AR pistol both 300 aac blk suppressed. Love it. 200 gr maker t rex subs, stillwood ammo (kills on lung shots easy). 150 noslers from gorilla ammo for supers.

TX night vision outfitters sells thermal drone that is great when you don't want to leave the camp. Now if I could just get the drone to shoot. Lol

Eta: just walked my trail and killed 3 after I typed this, one charged me. Not a good feeling with a bolt gun lol
