Bringing a buddy from out of state to duck hunt. License needs?
Posted by 4mileduckman on 12/11/17 at 11:38 am00
I think there used to be a five-day special hunting permit plus you would need a state migratory stamp a federal stamp and the hip permit. I was looking at the available licenses for out of state and it looks to have changed. It's just for this coming weekend. Does anyone know exactly what he needs to get besides the hip permit and the federal duck stamp.?

Basic, LA duck stamp, fed duck stamp, hip...and WMA permit if hunting WMA.
Looks like those 5 day licenses are only available for LA natives and the notes in the hunting reg booklet says an LA birth certificate is required to buy the 5 day non-resident license.
If your buddy isn't an LA native, the $29 one day license looks like his best bet. Says its all inclusive in the LDWF booklet but would imagine he'd still need a federal stamp.
