Not really. You realize that when business is good for you, it's even better for me(relatively), right?

I don't have to justify anything bc I haven't made a cent off of BP.

BP offers payout.. Person falls in payout category.. Person accepts.

But I guess it's better for Bp to have the money instead of the fishing economy they fricked up.

Makes sense

BP is forced to offer payout. The category is wide so people that really have no business getting money from BP take advantage and cash in.

Or the money could have went back into actually restoring the coast instead of power pole purchases?

You're wrong. BP was not forced to offer money to recreational fishermen. It's not in the settlement agreement. At all.

I don't know why they're doing it. But they're not obligated to do it.

Unless you have some sort of proof otherwise.

That would be ideal, but since that's not where the money is going might as well give it back indirectly.

so how is a power pole purchases going back into the LA economy?

and maybe if they weren't paying a bunch of bullshite payouts, they would have put more money into the coast restoration

but they know that people really don't care about the coast, they know people care more about if they get theirs, so this was a better PR move

I wasn't aware that 100% of all BP payouts went to power pole purchases? Is this a condition of the payout? I bet BP and power pole are in cahoots with this whole payout thing

I will never purchase a power pole now so that I can feel better than everyone that bought one

You act as if they took this money directly out of their save the coast funds. This is a whole different deal.

I'm going to buy my PP at a CCA banquet. I'm stimulating the economy and giving to the coast. And ya'll think I'm a bad person. sheesh.

Exactly. It's not payout to fisherman or payout to coast.

Its payout to fisherman or nothing.

Yeah that's retarded. I'll buy a couple 30Ws and fuel and call it a done deal. You're welcome BP
