Boyd's Custom Stocks
Posted by LSUDAN1 on 11/7/19 at 11:56 am00
Has anyone installed a Boyd's custom stock. I was thinking of replacing the original plastic stock that came on a Savage Axis II XP 7mm-08. I can get one for a less than $200.

I have one on a Ruger 10/22. It is well made and super easy to install. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one.

I don't own one, but a buddy ordered one for his Ruger American Predator. I swapped it out for him. Fit great and made a much more stable platform than the original plastic.

I replaced the stock on my Browning AB3 with a Boyd’s stock. It fits well and the barrel is free floating. I had it glass bedded even though they say that you don’t have to. I’ve had no issues with it.

I just bought one from their bargin bin for my 270 Axis. It's at the smith being inletted and bedded now. The fit out of the box was bad. Barrel touched all the way down the left side. So be aware it may take some fitting.
