Group of four going on a bowfishing trip out of Port Sulphur on Friday. I have never been bowfishing before so don't know exactly what to expect. Our guide is acting a bit pessimistic due to the wind forecast. Do you think we will have problems with clarity after the heavy winds and tornadoes that just past? I have been fishing plenty of times when the conditions were perfect and caught nothing and caught limits in some of the worst weather period. Just don't have any experience with this particular technique.

Also, any tips or advice would be very much appeciated.

He's pessimistic because of the wind direction. Heavy south winds aren't favorable for bow fishing, just a heads up it'll probably suck haha. Make sure to bring plenty of beer.

Wind is forecast to be 15-20 mph out of south all weekend....gonna dirty up the water. Tornado weather from yesterday isn't the issue, its having 3-4 days of those kinds of winds kicking up all that mud in the water

if this is still the forecast, I would cancel...your guide doesn't want to take you on a scratch trip and you don't want one either. as disheartening as it is, when the weather is going to be bad, it just makes no sense to waste your time and money.

best of luck to you....

Thanks for all the advice, ended up postponing the trip. Hopefully we can get after them again in March
