OK I just use my IPod when I'm out fishing but after awhile it gets hot and shuts off; well so do I .

Anyone else use their IPods but have speakers (Bluetooth or plug-in type) with it so you can get your IPod out of the sun?

TIA

I installed a kenwood 4 channel amp with a Bluetooth receiver and 2 marine speakers in my bass boat. It was plenty loud enough while fishing, but couldn’t hear it when running which was fine for me.

I had Boat City install the speakers because I didn’t want to cut into my fiberglass myself. Whole process cost me about $250.

Thanks but I'm not wanting to do all of that. I can hear the music I just need to get the IPod out of the sun and into one of the storage boxes to keep it cooler.

So you already have speakers? I don't understand what you're asking.

I have a head unit that has an ipod dock inside the head unit. My iphone plus doesnt fit in, so I just put it on my dash. Towel or t shirt over it works just fine.

I have an IPod that I listen to music on when I'm fishing. I'm looking for external speakers (marine type, Bluetooth or plug-in type) for it so I can get the IPod out of the sun so it doesn't overheat.

I put a small towel over both my IPhone and IPod but the IPod still overheats; the IPhone rarely does.

Gotcha. Just get a bluetooth speaker from bestbuy or amazon. Most of them are waterproof now.

Boom Jacket
I have this one. It's kind of expensive, but this little sucker is tough as nails, it floats, and it has a 40hr. battery.

UE Boom 2. Will last all day, also loud enough to hear over my 125 2-smoke at WOT.

Here is the one that I use. Altec lifejacket 3 Plenty loud even while running a 150. I use mine everywhere; playing golf, fishing, etc. Plus, you can use it to charge a device if needed and connect multiple speakers together wirelessly.
