Anybody got a line on a bank/credit union with the best loan rates for boats?

I used lending tree to find the best rate. Essex credit (bank of the west) beat my credit union by almost 3%.

lightstream and usaa (if you have access) are decent starting points to get an idea.

Advancial has decent rates. They offer the same rates for new or used.

x2 Lightstream. Easiest and the best rates I could find.

Lightstream or a credit union would be your best bet on a newer boat. They had pretty comparable rates, but the term length was longer for the credit union IIRC. My boat is older, and the only lender I could get was Lightstream

I agree with the Lightstream recs. They are unsecured and if you have excellent credit their rates are competitive.

They are really good for when you want to buy something and pay it off fast without all the bs going to a bank and they want title etc

I would also recommend Bank of the West. We had great rates from them.

Got to disagree with this one. I joined just for this. They have not come close to others.

Haha. This is for a coworker but do they do 25 year loans?

He's wrestling with buying it outright or getting a loan.

It's a new xpress 22ft bay boat.

If he has good credit, then another vote for Lightstream. Just used them for a repower and it was quick and easy with the lowest rates I found.
