Last I had was GEICO. But I have a deal where my boat is 1979 Reno Skiff and doesnt have a hull number so they dropped me.

Geico Marine. They stepped up their game this past year. Priced Progressive as well. Can't really go wrong with either.

NBOA.

The policy really only protects me if someone stubbs their toe and sues me or if someone slams into it at the boat ramp. My home owners policy covers theft or if a tree falls on it.

I do not keep coverage to cover damage caused by hitting something in the water.

You got some sort of special rider on your homeowner policy? I know some homeowner companies offer it, but its not the norm (at least in LA). My homeowners only covers up to $1,500 on watercraft.

Yes. It's covered for an agreed upon replacement value.

Most insurance companies partner with either seatow or boat US and cover the cost of an incident.

If you do any type of offshore/near shore then it’s a no brainer.

Plus, liability, liability, and liability. It’s cheap and could cover your butt if an accident takes place.

Progressive. You name the value, they insure based upon value, which is really replacement value. Very reasonable.

That's who I've been with since '08. They asked for a number and I gave it to them, will that number be used now if it gets sunk/trashed? Will they use blue book for value, it's obvious I assume I don't hit the Ins. companies up much.

I have had boat insurance with most all of those listed above, but recently switched to Charter Lakes (LINK ) and they are hands down the most knowledgeable and least expensive.

I was able to get 500k liability with 160k replacement agreed value for half of what I was paying with Progressive.
