There are actually recent recorded sightings of all 3 swan species in Tennessee. None in Lincoln County, however.

All recent sightings were in the areas of Cross Creeks and Tennessee NWRs.

This is why I don't hunt duck alone...all I see is white birds and non-white birds. I hunt with my cousin - he tells me when to, and not to, shoot.

Any sightings of these. This same pair seems to show up in Tennessee every year.

How long does it take to flood an area that size? Do you use trash pumps or water/board structure

I think we decided my Boykin and yours were litter mates. Looks like we need to arrange a get together for them on the edge of that field!

How is your dog doing? What was the reason the original owners got rid of him? I am assuming they had never had dogs before and did not realize that it is a full time commitment.

Sorry that was confusing. No, my pup and highcotton's are litter mates. He's doing good I haven't been able to duck hunt as much as I'd like to this year but he's made two hunts and picked up around 30 birds. As far as the original owner, yea from what I picked up on they were just looking for a family dog and the father had to work all the time and wasn't a hunter so he wasn't getting much exercise so I'm sure he was funneling his energy in other ways like any high energy puppy would do and was just too much for them to handle. He's definitely a mess and has tons of energy but I've never been around a dog that aims to please more than him.

Sibley guides info

Hard to see the eyes in the photo, though. Best guess would be Trumpeter.
