Good choice. You may not catch numbers but the average size will be bigger. Burning a horny toad is almost the same.

There are too many different types of conditions to say just one.
The most all-purpose, if I had to choose, would be buzzbait at night and low light, regardless of any other variables.
During the day, there's just too many scenarios.
Standing timber adjacent to a channel with moving water toward a generating dam on a large reservoir, with schooling shad? I'll throw a spoon or superfluke.
Shallow lily pads and tree stumps? Texas rigged bubble gum worm or a bluefill swimbait on the edges.
10 ft water with hydrilla growing up 6' underneath? Rip a rattle trap up over the top of if.
And so on.

Swimbait.
Curious, what is your go to swimbait?
I have given the Rage Swimmers and Keitechs a try with equal success. All decent fish, no giants yet.

I mix it up between Zoom swimming flukes, Cane Thumpers, Reaction Innovations Skinny Dippers, and Keitechs. Skinny Dippers have produced the most bites, but the Zoom has my largest fish.
