Suggestions? Son has outgrown the reduced recoil round. I'd hate to have to do my own research.

Barnes TTSX. Buy a box shoot it and if the gun groups it well you are good to go.

My daughter has had great results with Hornady Superformance SSTs in 139 gr. Usually drops them in their tracks

Do you know who usually carries Barnes/has them in stock around the BR or NOLA areas?

Cabelas had some in different calibers last time I was there but it's been a while.

Really no one here can answer that. It will be up to you to figure that out. Others can tell you what works for them but that is no guarantee it will work for you. Certain guns like certain bullets and even 2 guns from the same manufacture may like different bullets.
I have a browning 7-08 and have used nossler, Remington, Winchester and federal preimum. While all have shot great groups usually between 1" and 1.5", I recently tried these and the results are .75" st 100 yards.
