Anyone drop a line at a BREC park this year?

I just tried the North Sherwood park. Its a beautiful park and has 500 lb of trout but the water is like chocolate milk and full of hydrilla. Im not entirely sure why they put so many fish in that lake.

Catch and release would be fun. Catch em on corn because that’s how they feed them.

I can’t believe people keep anything out of those runoff pits.

Oh man, your post got me all excited until I looked at BREC's page and saw they didn't stock the Burbank park. That's the only one that's not a 30+ minute drive for me.

ive been using Berkley Power Baits over the years and usually do pretty well. And then I eat em! Maybe they arent in there long enough to absorb the chemicals

Not a guaranteed thing but other lakes get stocked. Lamar Dixon near Cabellas gets stocked. I usually fish there. Maybe someone in your area does the same thing?

Are there even any fish in those ponds year round?

I see people catfishing there all the time. I'm not interested in catfishing, but would like to catch a few trout.

I trout fish all over the U.S. and one of the most fun ways for inexperienced trout fishermen to try is an ultralight rod/reel and and something around the size of a 1/16 Rooster Tail.

Supposedly they stocked Burbank pond yesterday. A ton of people out there but didn't see anyone catch anything.

They also stocked the pond at Perkins/Kenilworth. Anyone been out there?

I like to bring my 6-yr old daughter b/c it is quick and fairly easy. But I also want it to be easy for her.
