I haven't had any luck yet this year. Last year this time and a little earlier I tore them up in a Zara Spook Jr. I think I just caught it bad as every time I've been fishing this year I've needed a jacket.

Caught a few on buzz baits early and late in the day starting as far back as the end of March. Nothing in big numbers though.

I kill them on top water. Fluke Jr Pearl White.

Have noticed since the temps gone up that all the big ones have gone a little deeper.

I would post picks but photobucket is to much work at the moment.

Caught a couple on a white buzzbait the other night. It was about 10pm with a quarter moon

Will try it again at night when the moon is full

Ribbit frog has been catching fairly well for me, missing a good bit too, watermelon red/ pearl, and solid white have been the go-tos.

I have been catching them early morning with the BooYah Padcrasher frog. I would catch a lot more if I would quit jerking the damn hook so fast.

Add a trailer hook and wait till you feel the fish. You're gonna miss fish, but 2/10 is pretty terrible.

Me too man. Salmon and I were out and first cast I had one jump out of the moss and I pulled the shite out of it. Happened a few more times too. I have a trailer hook on it but I usually only catch when the fish does the work.

I have been told to count to 3 while reeling in slack then setting hook on a frog...much easier said than done.

you don't need to count or anything...just tell yourself that every cast you expect a fish to blow up on it, when it happens wait for it to disappear and turn, you want the fish to turn so you can put the hook in the top lip...i use braid and a sweeping hookset with a frog

Thanks for the advice man. I know its all a mind game, and there is no way in hell I can count while doing that shite . I definately need to let it disappear instead of jerking it as soon as I see the fish blow up like Im trying to snag that bastard or something.
