I will be taking a deep v boat from Hopedale to Venice through Baptiste Collette. Draws about 2.5’. Any issues with silting like some of the other passes? Any other navigability issues that I should know? Thanks

I haven’t been through it since this years high river but I just pulled up AIS ship traffic and there are several large tugs in it right now.
It’s never anything like main pass or pass a loutre if that’s what your wondering, as long as you stay in the middle even when navigating turns you will be ok. Don’t try to short cut any bouys or beacons on the approach either.

no issues, crew boats run it daily. make sure when you come in you actually go outside the furthest east markers

Waters high right now with east wind, stay in the middle of Baptiste when you're running though. Some of the banks have started to build up small sandbars where bayous drain into baptiste.
