I have been out of Baptiste Collette on the way to the Chandeleur Islands before but this time I want to circle to the south. I see on maps the last canal on the right has some nice size building on it with a few outlets that show no marsh.

Are any of those cuts from the canal deep enough to float a something along the lines of a bay boat? If so is it only hat high tide? Thanks in advance!

Go to main pass and go out of flat boat or dead woman

There are quite a few sand bars and shallow spots going that way. Would be better to run to the end of Baltiste and swing south. Another option is to go through Yuratitch bayou but it's full of sand bars at the end also.

Flat boat would take you south also but it's actually silting in I haven't run it this year but last year it had two spots that were about two feet deep so they could be a problem now.

There are other options but you would have to follow someone no way to tell how to do it on the net. Hope that helps some.

Have you tried running out these passes in the last year? Both are silting in pretty bad. I have a 20foot flat and I avoid both of those now.

Thank for the replies. I guess I will just run a few more miles out of my way.
