Baby Mojo Battery Question

I recently bought the twin pack from Cabela's when I got them in, I realized they are supposed to run off 6 "AA" batteries. My question is could I convert it to a regular 6v battery like all the other mojo's? Will it mess up the motor or anything? Just trying to save money and not buy all those batteries.

I have this same question

each "AA" = 1.5 volts so 6 of them is 9volts.
So I would use a lantern battery. You will just have to figure out how it needs to be wired.
ETA..... rectal cranium inversion issues this morning. Yes a 6 volt lantern battery can work.

So you think it would be alright to use one of those rechargable tab batteries? It is way cheaper in the long run.

I just use rechargable AA batteries in mine so i dont have to buy new batteries all of the time.

Well I just emailed mojo and they said I could use the same batteries as the other mojos. So I guess we all know now.

Check this out. Just use the AA's. LINK

you will need a P7 style 9 volt battery for a direct hook up.
If you want to use the 6v lantern, I think you will need to add an inline resistor to equal the voltages.
if it took 4 AAs you could directly hook up a 6 volt.

The link above basically says its not worth the effort to try and replace 6 AAs with a 6 volt. Which I agree with. The trick is finding the big 9v's wich can be had, but will probably not save you any $ in the long run. Last one of those I saw I remember being fairly pricey.

I just expense a 48 pack of AAs every 2 weeks at work.

exactly, I like the AA mojos. I've lost way too many 6v batteries in the marsh.

Ya I think I am just going to suck it up and buy the rechargable AA batteries. Could use them in my teal also so i guess it will work out.
