The OB seems to have a wealth of knowledge in a wide range subjects so I figured I'd try here first. I'm working on a retro fit project and trying to find male and female connectors to make a wire harness for some lights. Anyone know of any brick and mortar stores that may have these? I am trying to avoid ordering online because I'd like to try and get the majority of the project done this weekend. I have already tried Oreilly's and they had the female pigtail for different headlights, but no male connectors.

Are you making your wiring harness?

You should be able to buy male/female molex connectors to mate up your wiring.

Or are you attempting to wire up a new wiring harness and adapt to plugs you already have in place, ie brakes/lights, etc.

Are we talking 4 pin 16gauge connectors or 40 pin multi gauge connectors?

ETA: I know you're wanting to do brick and mortor but Ladd electrical has a badass website for choosing connectors.

I'm not trying to do anything exotic at all. Just wiring in some LED DRL. Figured while I was swapping my halogen for HID I would add some DRL where the faux ones are in the housing. I planned on using a fusetap and run a hot wire to the 2 LEDs. Just want a way to disconnect and reconnect them and it be water tight.

While wondering around Pep Boys about a year ago waiting on tires for my daughter's car, I was kinda surprised by the number of parts like what you're looking for that they had.

As someone else said, NAPA is a good place to check. I also just took a look at Carquest's website and they carry some harness type stuff and they have a store in BR.

Not Brick and Mortar - but Amazon can get you them by tomorrow or Saturday.

These are what I use for waterproof connections for lightbars on ATVs and such.

For waterproof stuff, try West Marine or another marine parts store.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I forgot about Amazon and the random stuff they have. I think I will get those.

Quick word of advice - out of 10 so sets I have used on these, I did get one bad male connector. Now I check them for continuity before I solder the connections.
