ATF Form(s) wait times

Anyone know the current time frames for a ATF form 3 and form 4?
I've been waiting for a form 3 to be approved for 11 weeks now. Was told by the dealer it would take about 6 weeks. I still have to file the form 4 after this is approved so it's going to be a long while before my toy in hand.

That is why I will always buy a NFA item from a local dealer that has the item in stock. Sorry for your wait.
You can't really hold the dealer to this. The dealer shouldn't really give timelines for NFA approvals. Predicting how long it will take the government to approve these forms is a losing battle.

What could a delay a form 3? I ordered from a local shop (in person), they didn't have the item in stock so they ordered it and filed the form 3 the next day. That was 11 weeks ago.

This is probably accurate for Form 4's. We haven't really had time to see the effects of the last panic buy, but I've been telling clients submitting Form 4's now that they should expect 5-6 month waits.

We don't send off Form 4s, we give the customers the envelope with everything they need (minus the check) and have them mail it. eliminates the blame game if something happens

according to NFA tracker, november forms are being approved this month, so 5 months on form 4

I know I can't get a refund once a form 4 is submitted, but how about a form 3? am I just stuck waiting now?

I mailed my form 4 on Nov.9, got stamp in hand Feb 29. I think mine was probably a fluke though. Hopefully not because I sent a couple more after that first one.

Can anyone answer this? I'm still waiting for Form 3 approval to even get the suppressor from the distributor to the dealer. The dealer keeps promising to "get back to me" with an update but never does. It's a damn shame really.
