Expand good enough to go hog hunting, that is?

Underwood makes a round with the Lehigh expansion that is a pretty good hog round. I have killed 25 or out to 100 yds.

Discreet ballistics. Just put 60 rounds on backorder last week.

Discrete Ballistics are the best in my opinion. They are accepting back orders. Just got a big order in yesterday. You specify barrel length and twist and they will give you the right bullet.

Leigh Defense have some pre cut ones as well but I haven’t shot anything with them yet.

Discreet Ballistics has one. It's less traditional expansion like you'd see with a mushroming bullet, but more a prescored machined copper bullet that opens up more similarly to a broadhead.

so glad someone asked this question. I've been shooting the Hornady sub X and have had terrible luck.

Shot one deer in neck. Obviously didn't hit spine or jugular---never found it. Shot next one behind shoulder, did not pass through or bleed a drop. Got lucky and found deer 120 yards away.

Are the Lehigh that much better?

Why are you using subsonic ammo on deer?

Did you recover the bullet? Curious as to what it did. I’ve not hunted with them but have a few boxes.

I haven’t shot anything with the Leigh yet but I haven’t lost a deer or hog with Discreet. I only shoot 100 yards or less with subs.
