Can I drive a 31' camper in and park somewhere to go hiking and see the sites? This is my first trip in an RV and stupidly, I just assumed all parks would have RV hookups. We'll be staying at an outside RV park and I was just wondering if there's room in the park for day trippers to just pull in and park?

I don't believe RV hookups are available inside the park but they can accommodate 30' RVs for day trips. Kind of standard for several parks.

Dont know about the camper but that place is awesome. Loved hiking there and canyonlands last summer.

I was there 2 months ago and the traffic was already unbearable. While there technically is room, you will almost undoubtedly find the 2 to 3 oversized parking spots per prime location to be already taken. Its also posted everywhere that parking outside of designated spots will result in a ticket.

Also, every corner in Moab has a jeep/atv rental place. Could be an option. And dont forget about Canyonlands only 30 some odd miles away.
