Who doesn't want a 338 Lapua?
Savage makes one that is affordable to purchase, much cheaper than the McMillan.
My only concern and the only real drawback to the Lapua I can see is: the 338 Lapua is just the poor man's 243.
I was looking at the BC of the 338 Lapua and it was .768

Does a box of 5 .338s cost about $50?
I would buy one in a heartbeat though.

that 110 BA looks impressive, some are going for only $1800, $2500 MSRP
I have several other projects I want to try, but def have that Savage a little later on the wish list

Not on Cheaper than Dirt.
Looks like a box of 20 goes for $70-100. About like buying Weatherby ammunition.
I am seeing one at Buds Guns Shop for $989. It isn't all "Tac'd" out, but what's a Harris Bipod cost?

I was referring to the metals used, along with the processes/stability testing done... not the buffer tube's diameter.

Sorry for confusion. Every one I run with says gas operated or piston operated. Didn't mean to confuse everyone.
