A family member (woman) is looking to get a gun and has held this one since a friend of hers has one.

I haven't looked at them and haven't had a chance to go shop around for her ? She did express not liking a standard polymer striker fired pistol and claims she can't rack the slide.

My only concern would be that she may be wasting money for something that only shoots a 38 special round. It is hammerless though so I guess it's good for a purse. Is it snappy ? Dont want something that will be too much recoil because I know its a super light frame.

I see now where there is a 9mm model.

It’s light, but it’s got a surprisingly good trigger. I’m not sure of the cost difference, but if recoil is an issue get the LCR in .357 and shoot 38s.

You can get it in other calibers, including the 327 magnum.

I didn't care for how it felt shooting. I liked the size, but it just wasn't what I was looking for. Too snappy and tight. I have the larger LCP as a glovebox gun. It's not the best trigger (it actually is awful) but fine for point and shoot.

Try a Walther PK380. The slide is so easy to rack, I can do it with two fingers.
