Granted an 80 pound canoe (17'2" Old Town Tripper) is heavier than most of those yaks but this is how we used to roll. Y'all might laugh but a minivan is an outstanding canoe/yak carrier. Lower to the ground than a truck (easier for a woman to help load) and yet has a nice long roof.

1997 Grand Caravan (no longer have it)

1988 F-150 (still runs like a champ)

Nice truck.

You'll have I let me know if the plasti dip is worth it.

Thinking about dipping my rims black.

I see a lot of people here buying those little play trucks. Something like Hot Wheels.

I'm not a farmer, nor someone who has to compensate. Im also not a wasteful person.

I've had Tacos since '94.

They've pulled boats and trailers with ease, are hard to stick in the mud/sand, are easy to park, aren't gluttons for fuel consumption and have never left me stranded on the side of the road.

They are gluttons for punishment though.

To each, his own.

They're for non fat people who like to drive manuals.

The plasti dip comes in gunmetal, black, smoke, and the camo black. I ordered the camo tan, should be unique.

ETA: White looks good too.

Get the bed extender that fits into your hitch - easy to load/unload, easy to tie down and very reasonably priced...you can catch them for about $60 at Harbor Freight when you have the 20% off coupon.

I was mainly looking for a beach trip rack to carry my board. We always have ice chests and lawn chairs and umbrellas and all sorts of crap like a jambox and food baskets. I can't stack all that on my board so I figured I'd throw it up top. It's light enough, when it's not windy, to easily lift it above my head.

I could see it being awesome for a short trip out kayak fishing though.
