Great boats. No involvement with seller but I know there have been some posts lately looking for some. Seems like an amazing deal

By the time you repower it and add a t-top, and update the electronics, then add the $8800 asking price, what would that cost?

Dunno. Rough guess $15-20k + asking price depending on what you repower with. Could maybe make up some $$$$ selling motor. Also depends on what you repower with. Could prob go with a zuke and come out pretty good.

Kenner makes a lifetime hull though so worth it for that price IMO

You are saying I can update all electronics, add a t-top, and a 250 zuke for $20k?

Idk. That was a very rough guess. Haven’t priced outboards lately. I’d prob throw a 200 on it, replace with a Garmin and call it a day

Make up some money selling merc for parts depending on its condition. Who knows maybe the merc is still good (lol, it’s a merc so probably not)

a 250 zuke

Hardly necessary. I have a 200 on my 23v and I can do 49mph light boat.

T tops on bay boats look silly and kill space, 175 hp is plenty for that hull.

How busy is one to not at least try to get it running? I’m guessing he is just selling as is? Chances are you can run the motor, I don’t see the need to replace it right away. If you are going to replace it, you are likely better off waiting and buying one with the motor you want unless you just want a brand new motor.

Looks like he has other boats This is a highly sought after boat and will sell very quick. Probably already has

You will be waiting a long time. That’s a unicorn. This boat looks very well kept up and a damn good price

You maybe right but any boat that hasn’t been ran in 18 months is usually not well kept. Now it may have been garaged and in good shape certainly.

Eh it’s not that hard to find a good bay boat with a good motor for $20-$25k. That’s how much you are going to have in this Kenner if the merc won’t run.

When I'm ready for next boat this is the exact deal I'd be looking for. Hull to repower.

$15,000 I should get you a zuk 175, show up with 75 $100 bills and drive off like ya stole it. 2005 motor has zero value but it also has a new trailer and not the trash galvalum it came with.

Modern 150's are putting out 165hp, I'd just go with another 150. As long as I can get it in the 40's I am good, but I would try to get the Merc running if it is complete. If I am repowering an older hull I am definitely checking out the price of a Tahatsu.

Someone told him his price is to low, he commented I know my message box is full.

I would pay that for that boat and run it till the motor broke. Those Mercs are pretty decent.

I think the best engine for it would be the 175 Zuk.
