I'm thinking this will be my next build. Very high BC with very low recoil sounds like fun long distance shooting. I already own a few 223/5.56 ARs and I'm finishing up a Blackout SBR build now so this won't be my only AR. Ammo and components are a little high right now but I think this cartridge will catch on and prices will go down. Anybody have experience with this round yet? TIA

Good friend of mine is building one. I thinks hes using a 700 action.

Eta: this is a new one that i can get on board with. Im not a long range shooter or anything but i like what they did. Looks kinda like a 6mm BR in the pictures.

Very short barrel life, otherwise good shooting gun.

I wouldn't think it would be that bad on barrels. The 90gr has a muzzle velocity of 2,700fps. It's not really a burner. It achieves long distance due to it's high BC. Similar to the 6.5CM. I'm definitely not an expert though.

No experience, but uses the 6.8 boltface. With the new Sierra 95 smk it should be a pretty awesome round especially if the big ammo guys get behind it. Also, we'll see if the bolt gun manufacturers get behind it since it's not a standard boltface size. Will be easier for Savage to get it first because of their removable bolt heads.

I would have rather someone get behind the 22 Grendel(necked down 6.5 Grendel), but it is what it is.

I have one of the new bighorn origin actions coming so hopefully I'll get a spare bolt head for it.

I think it's going to blow up and be the 6.5CM of the AR-15 platform. There will be a lot of bolt guns built in this caliber and they will be great guns but the round was developed specifically for the small frame AR. Nothing else that will work in the small AR can match it for long distance shooting except maybe some rare wildcat rounds. I think it'll do really well in bolt guns and ARs. I'll be building one soon so I hope I'm right.

Yeah screw innovation. Supersonic to 1,300 yards with phenomenal accuracy out of the AR15 platform with factory ammo sounds terrible.
