THAT is what a deer rifle is supposed to look like. I've got the same one in 300 wsm is a great shooting rifle. Love the classic blued with wood furniture.

Bought a Savage 12fv 308, for deer, elk, and antelope here in Colorado. Gun cost $375 and I snagged a Vortex Crossfire II 4x12x44 for $135. Its got a 26 inch heavy barrel which makes her on the heavy side, but i have plans on getting the barrel fluted which should take some of that weight off.
