Anybody own the Savage A17

Thinking about that being my selfish Christmas present to myself. Buy myself a gun for Christmas every year. Just looking for some feedback from anyone who owns or has shot one. Looking at it for yotes and maybe hogs. Something different to shoot. TIA

There is a poster on here that has on. I have a bolt 17HMR. One of my favorite rifles because it's so incredibly accurate and cheap. Not sure I would try it out on a hog though. Might just piss it off.

Would work on yotes. Hogs would have to be shot in the head and preferably behind the ear.

I have one and love it. As DeoreDX said, they are stupid accurate. Perfect for yotes, dillos, coons, foxes, etc. Not sure what it'd do to a hog though. It'll frick pigeons up though.

Got one too...love it. Its a little tack driver. Havent hunted anything with it yet tho.

I love mine. Only shot it a handful off times, but it's a squirrel killing machine. Awesome rifle.

I killed a 20# shoat with my .17HMR, FMJ. the ballsitic tips just blow up. Now i did not shoot a 200# how i stumbled upon while walking through the palmetto.

I have killed numerous hogs, up to around the 200lb range with my 17HMR. CCI hollow points to the head and they drop like rocks.
