That is awesome.

Meh, debatable.
Well, a higher bore axis leads to more felt recoil in a less desirable angle leading to tougher follow up shots. Thats one reason you don't see many Sig's in IPSC and USPSA.
I've seen a good bit of CZ's to go along with 1911's there, also see M&P's and Glocks.
While Sig makes high quality pistols the design leaves a few things to be desired.

I have had a fnp40 for about 8 years. was my first pistol fit my hand like a glove. throw some trijicon night sights and your all set.
love that gun ive shot shitty ammmo, ive shot expensive ammo. every round fired fine. no FTE or FTFs at all. you do have to slam in a full clip tho. rides by my side daily and i trust my life with it for sure.

I agree with this and take it into consideration on polymer guns. However, on full steel guns, it's real no discernible difference (to me) YMMV
I would rather the recoil of a higher bore axis steel gun than a polymer lower bore axis. Again YMMV.
Either way. The FNS/FNX will be a great gun. The Sig is out of the price range anyway to the OP.

I don't understand this with a purchase of this nature. I'd rather a $950 gun than a $650 gun all day long, if it has features that I think are worth it. I think you have to look at ALL guns, then break down what's important to you. Starting at a price point seems near sighted in the grand scheme of things.

I don't understand why anybody would buy a 1000 dollar polymer gun but some like it and it is their decision, I won't knock them for it. Just a matter of what people want.

Glocks shoot every time and most are cheaper than $650

My $1000 plastic gun is a fricking glorious piece of engineering. I researched every gun on the market regardless of price and it's the one I thought was the best, for me.

Ok. Sell me on it, my friend. I'm assuming you mean the H&K? I've always wanted one, but the price has always deterred me. I'm looking for a full size, high capacity, .45, with rail and night sights. Go!

Makes me laugh every time.

Saves the primer that way.

I bought a completely different beast. I bought a compact pistol that I felt I could operate the most safely (and that held more than my J frame). There was much, much more than that but in the end that's enough.
ETA: It came down to that hammer.

P2000? Word. I have plenty of carry guns. I want a big one now.

FNX Tactical, and then go put in for a Silencer Co Octane 45. Enjoy.
But, if you don't have $2000 (stamp and can and handgun) to blow, you can always go with the FNX 45.
This coming from an M&P owner.

Word. I guess I should look into the M&P too.
