I wish. I was seeing a lot of birds at my place but Harvey cleared them out. May wait and try next weekend

I am. First year. Sounds like we might be in the same place.

Headed up to Arkansas with my dad and best friends dad now for our annual dove hunt where we duck hunt up there, been pumped all week!

And I think she's more pumped than I am. Hopefully I can knock some down for her!

Managed to scratch out 10. It was all skybusting big flocks of high passing whitewings. Not the most enjoyable dove shooting but still a good time.

Just a couple birds shy of a full limit, and I and missed a couple that I should've hit, so that's on me for not having a full bag. Managed to shoot my first banded bird ever! Damn good start to the season.

Don't have a private lease to go to (plan to do something about that between now and next year), and the LA WMAs and leased fields will not allow lead shot. I am not shooting steel through my good double barrels, so I will stay home and wait for the game.

Literally just north of town. If you zoom in on the first picture I posted you can see a house light. These were all residential birds.

We're actually going on a whitewing hunt in El Campo this Sunday afternoon for that opener, I can text you the info if you're interested.
