I understand that but doesn't state regulation trump federal regulation in the states territory?

Not necessarily.

From my understanding, the feds can still enforce marijuana laws in Colorado. The locals won't enforce them, though.

The issue is that after 3 miles, you are in federal territory. That's why they're expected to work that window.

I was told the same thing about Colorado. The federal laws over rule the state laws. Theres plenty of snapper out there more than I've ever seen my whole life.[link=()]Red snapper caught out of Grand Isle. Louisiana with Lance Walker[/link]

Give them hell boys and if they arrest you in State waters and you are following state law I will defend you for free!

The question is whether the Feds have the manpower (sequestration, much?) and fortitude to see that through. I really don't think they do. I can't see the Coast Guard brass being thrilled with suggestions that they enforce recreational creel limits.

USCG doesn't care. We dove inside the closed zone after the spill while a cutter was patrolling the line 3 miles away. Never hailed us, never came towards us, anything

I think they do care, though, in that they will be unhappy about the suggestion. Those guys have a big enough of a job on their hands already.

I just don't see this happening. It will prolly be too rough for us to fight it this weekend, but we will at least be there to see what is happening around the G.I. Marina's. Word is that there will be an abundance of DWF people measuring fish and obtaining information.

Man, the Feds can frick up anything!

I'm going to be at the camp with my canoe. At least I can paddle back if it rains.
