I've got an OG Delta Elite and a Gold Cup also...
I just don't believe that full size or even commander 1911's make good carry guns.
Maybe a Kimber Micro or a Colt Mustang.

Actually, RIA has an Officer's (3.5" barrel) lightweight aluminum frame 1911 in their catalog. The weight's not listed, but I just had an online chat w/ RIA and they said the following:
"Weight. Loaded 0.962 kg / 2.12 lbs / 962 g
Weight, Empty (Approx.) 820 g
We are hoping to have this in 2018."
The empty weight equates to 29 oz. For comparison, the Glock 19 weight is 21 oz empty and 30 ounces fully loaded.
