Any tips for hunting pressured deer?

A have a couple hundred acre tract that holds some nice deer. But, due to heavily hunted leases surrounding me they go primarily nocturnal once the season starts. Any tricks, tips or things to look for?

Don’t pressure them if your neighbors are doing it for you

Leave it alone until the rut. Then hunt all day during the rut
Did this on a similar tract and killed my target buck in back 2 back years

I’m far from an expert but I do hunt a property that gets a ton of human traffic throughout the year. With a small property like that it’s tough, but establish a sanctuary area and stay out of it, ideally the thickest stuff on the property. Walk in, keep noise down, hunt the wind and don’t get busted. Establish a feeder and keep it full, and don’t just throw corn all over the place. A consistent feeder location year after year will allow them to get comfortable with it and traffic will improve year after year. My feeder hasn’t moved in four years and I see more deer now then ever, in daylight. Have even had two bucks that only show up one day a year come by two years in a row to check it out. Now get big social scrapes near it on the same trees every year. I let does walk for the most part, and have a group of regulars.
Deer hate change, whatever you can do to keep it to a minimum will help.

Instead of learning to hunt just cut some hounds loose and stand on the road.

go at night?
I have the same problem. I just keep feeders full to let deer do what they want to and only hunt all day during the rut. works for me.

This. Our place gets a ton of pressure from family, but they all only hunt during daylight hours. The last several years the deer went nocturnal early in the season and they didn’t figure it out until it was too late. I switched up to hunting at night and killed almost all the bucks we had on camera by thanksgiving.

I'm missing something. How are you doing this?

Hunt it from the outside in, leaving a quiet area (sanctuary) in the middle. Scout as soon as the season ends and as you come and go. Avoid going on a walk about.

Little secret
A deer can see very well in darkness so they reflect light when a light is shines upon them.
It’s hard to hold the spotlight and the gun at same time, but it can be done

Well, yeah, I know that. I wasn't sure if that's what was happening or not

Hunt middle of day,I’ve killed good many deer between 10:30 and 12:30.I learned this from a guy who had 5 good bucks mounted, told me he killed them all between 11:00and 2:00 pm.He hunted in GMA with heavy pressure, most people get in stands before daylight and leave at about 9:00, then they come back about 3:00pm for evening hunts.Deer learn what all the 4 wheeler and truck traffic means, they head for thickets and lay down.Middle of day, they get up and move around some.

I have 200 acres that's in the middle of a couple deer leases. The only time I set foot on the property is when the wind is right.. I walk the fence lines depending on the wind and never ride my 4 wheeler unless I have to go get an animal. I also bow hunt it and see a lot more deer during bow season . Once the 4 wheelers start riding around in the woods around me the deer go nocturnal. I also use piles of corn they won't come to a feeder or stand..

u could just go old school and hang some apples with hooks in them ?

Hunt the thickets. And agree, no motorized vehicle except to pull out a deer. Stealth on the way in and out.

#1 Large mature bucks do not go very far during daylight hours (within there bedding area)
#2 just like a woman being attracted to a physically fit man, does want to be bread by the most dominant buck in the area. If you have a large doe herd, the does will actually go find that buck in his bedding area therefore once again he won’t have to walk very far.
#3 all a big buck needs in life is Food, water, and sex. He does not have a watch, clock, a doctors appt, an LSU game to go to etc. He will literally bed down with his back to an escape route and “safe zone” and his nose downwind so he can smell predators.
#4 foodplots are more efficient and more natural then feeders. Plant fruit trees if you can along the edges.
#5 most people that kill big bucks say it’s easier to kill them early season with a bow bc they’re still in a summer pattern.
#6 not every all areas are like this. Kansas and some Midwest states with no pressure big deer get up and walk around like it’s Sunday after church (what you see on tv). But I’m talking about south east (Arkansas, Miss, La) where a 4 year old buck has been shot at since he was a button buck and has survived some how.
#7 don’t ever underestimate the power of reading. And I’m a hypocrite bc I’m giving you advice on this forum but this is prob not the best place to get advice on this topic bc some of the previous post are bad advice. Some are good though. Google John Eberhart hunting pressured white tail bucks.
He says in one of his videos if he wanted to kill you he would prob hide in your closet in your bedroom because he knows youre going to be there tonight, so why leave a part of your property as a sanctuaries for him to live and you never kill him.

Find bedding and get as close as you can get in and out without blowing them out.
Get in early and stay late

Last year I lucked up and had a couple stands where people didn't really hunt to close to me. After my family killed 4 deer, it is like I am surrounded this year. We shall see how we do this year but one thing I found out was once deer season opened, I had all types of deer coming by that I never had on camera for most early part before season. Sometimes it is just being at right place at the right time.
