Trying to avoid driving to Grand Coteau. And no, the guy on Kaliste Saloom is not a gunsmith. He charged me a $100 to work on it, then told me if it still didn't work to take it to a gunsmith.

Had the same thing happen to me with my Browning Gold. Charged me $75 to take a look at it and tell me he couldn't fix it.

Guy I hunt with recommended Bayou Teche Guns in Arnaudville, but that's not any closer than Grand Coteau so probably will not help you out.

Ed Comeaux has a shop in Broussard. He is some type of police guy but works on guns also. Has a shop in his yard. A friend has used him and was pleased.

Elson never really worked on guns, Mike Brazda did all the work back in the mid 90's thru earky 2000

Mike Brazda owns BTG and I believe his son Zack works there as well.

I use to work for Mike at Brazda's Top Guns when they were on Bertrand next to Deano's under the water tower ... late 80's early 90's

another option, Acadiana Gun Works in Scott Industrial Park . Flem and his partners opened up their business 2 yrs ago
