Anybody in Louisiana with an in-depth knowledge of antique duck calls? I have my grandfather’s call that my dad gave me and would like to know who made it. My dad said it was a Beckhart but I don’t think so.

Edited to add picture.

You can see the checkering and it has four rings on the barrel. Still works quite well. It cracked so that’s why the wire is twisted around the barrel.

Don't know the name, but I think it is a pintail call from the mid 1960's. I do recall seeing them back in the day.

Same goes for the OP that I remember seeing them back then. Not a pintail call.

Not for sale. Family heirloom. Just would like to know the background on who made it and what timeframe. If it is actually a Beckhart I would take some insurance out on it, lol.

So are you an architect, an engineer or in construction? I see the plans in your desk.

Kind of a wannabe engineer. I design clean-agent fire suppression systems for computer rooms and such.
