That is cool and all, but one cold front isnt going to do it. We need more. Supposed to be highs in the 70's this weekend with lots of rain

Might be time to give up on the ducks baw. I have a feeling the duck hunting in Louisiana will continue to get worse regardless of the weather.

I agree. If you don’t hunt Venice or anything west you done. Went this morning did not even see a duck. Steady decline.

I am hoping that south wind this weekend will pull some ducks from the marsh into the ag fields. We haven't shot at, or even called at, a duck on our lease this year.

At least the specks are biting.

luckily the river is going down. Should be able to hunt my area next weekend. All them baws up north planting corn all around a duck hole then flooding doesnt help either though. Not saying thats the only issue, but it is certainly part of the problem

Corn, millet etc coupled with heaters ice eaters etc. why migrate to S Louisiana?

I’m pleasently surprised to be consistently killing a few ducks on our marsh lease in SELA. Bufflehead slaughter

Exactly

There is no incentive for a duck to fly any further south than the Missouri state line.

We get it. You like to shoot woodies. I think the overall sentiment was directed towards ducks that, which for the most part, actually migrate lol.

Made a quick hunt this morning. Saw a ton of specks and snows high. Saw five ducks total. 2 teal and 3 spoonbills.

Never fired a shot.

Pecan island tomorrow morning or Sunday morning? Could be some bad storms in the morning but if its light would it be good conditions? Clear and cooler Sunday
